December 2025 Updates

It is almost December, and we have A LOT of exciting news to share with you!

So let's cut to the chase. I was accepted for the Scratch Youth Advisory Board (YAB)! Since the beginning of November, I have helped pilot a couple of projects, namely the Scratch Feedback Committee (SFC), a studio where non-YAB members can suggest ideas that will be forwarded to the Scratch Team. I made the example project for the studio. Additionally, I attended a meeting with a design firm that will be working on Scratch, and while I can't share any specific details at the moment, I can tell you that some really cool ideas were brought up that might soon become a reality on Scratch!

We are also working on an extensive update for Christmas Tree Creator, which will add at least 20 new ornaments, including simple shapes, Scratch-themed ornaments, and the exclusive Scratch membership sprites. The ornament system is also being reworked such that you add more than one of each ornament (eg. multiple stars, snowflakes, bulbs, etc.). Once the update is released, if anyone wants to propose the project to be featured, that would be awesome! (it would be so cool for it to be featured on Christmas Day)
