April 2026 Updates

It is almost April (gosh!), and we have some pretty cool updates for you!

Firstly, I got accepted into the Scratch Mentor Program (SMP), which means I will likely be participating in the design and operation of various studios. You might have already seen my π Digit Dash, which was a seed project for this year's Pi Day Studio.

It is also time we announce what might be our most powerful project yet: ScratchBit! So what exactly is ScratchBit? Well, it's a project that will solve one of the biggest problems in Scratch: how to save an image. ScratchBit can convert any image, pen drawing, or part of a frame into a code, which can easily be copied and pasted into other projects or even downloaded via this tool. Plus, it comes in a module that you can easily implement in your own projects, which can load and generate codes that can be created or used by any other project with the module. Our goal is to create a network of projects that can transfer images, pen drawings, and more to one another, improving convenience and creativity of many Scratchers. Look out for an early access version, first on this website, and later on GitHub, in the upcoming weeks!

Finally, look out for a ScratchMusic update in the future! Version 2.1 will add even more songs and a shuffle feature to playlists and your library!

That's all we have for you in this update! Thanks for all the support with new projects!

Some Studio Updates...

With progress comes with the need to change things, and I found that I had quite a few old redundant studios (that were probably confusing people who somehow found them). So I went in and deleted some
